flowers

The flowers called to me when I saw this sweater I had no idea what I was going to do with it I just knew I was going to keep it. It reminded me of a navy issue sweater I embroidered and wore in 1971, it belonged to my father-in-law when he was in the navy, it had moth holes in it but I kept it, embellished it and loved it as now I love this wreath, it reminds me of that time in my life, this is the first sweater wreath I made and is still my favorite. Thanks to that sweater it opened a creative door for me. Today is the official blame someone else day and the First Friday the 13 of the year, it's sunny today, I need to get some flower seeds. If I don't I'll blame someone else.

  1. I love the sweater wreaths! I've never seen anything like them. I'm a wreath junkie and I seriously need a house with more doors especially for Halloween. I keep looking for the "perfect" Halloween wreath. I recently bought some tin bats on eBay and may try making one on my own. Now there's a spooky thought since I lack a craft gene.
